Once Connectorly for Datto RMM and Power BI is set up, you can begin to work with the data in Microsoft Power BI Desktop.

Open Microsoft Power BI Desktop

You will see the following landing screen, ready for you to bring your data in:

Connectorly holds a copy of your Datto RMMdata in your own, secure Postgres database. To work with this data, use the PostgreSQL database datasource in Microsoft Power BI.

Use the PostgreSQL connector to get your Datto RMM data

On the top ribbon, left, select the Get data button. From the drop-down, select More...

A Get Data pop-up window opens. You can type postgres in the search box to quickly find the PostgreSQL database:

Copy your unique connection settings

You will need your unique connection settings, which are found on the Settings tab:

Make sure to use your unique settings, which will be different to the above.

Click OK, and you'll be asked to enter the username and password. These are found on the Settings tab as per above.

Select the tables of interest

Once the username and password are successfully entered, you will see the Datto RMM tables that are available for you to report on. Tick all of them (or just those you're interested in) and click Load.

Your data is pulled into Power BI, and you can begin to build dashboards.
