Although Connectorly advertises its connectors primarily as “to Power BI”, the credentials provided by Connectorly are actually credentials for a standard PostgreSQL database.
This means that Connectorly data can be accessed from any BI or reporting tool capable of connecting to PostgreSQL, including Google Data Studio and Looker, both of which provide PostgreSQL connectivity.
The main difference is that Connectorly currently provides free, ready-to-use and customisable Power BI templates for reports such as P&L, Balance Sheet, Budgets and Debtor Ageing.
Equivalent templates are not currently available for Google Data Studio, Looker, or other BI platforms. Therefore, while they can connect directly to the Connectorly database, reports and dashboards will need to be created from scratch in those platforms.
